Flour was sold here in Medieval times. Today, bakeries and cafes and a duo of exceptional "palaces" hold court. Kotor is a small Old Town and this is a very important square here.

A banal, small square, surrounded by buildings without any charm. Nothing to see here, maybe with the exception of two restaurants.

So many little squares in a small town that has more then it probably should. This particular square has some cool little restaurants with neat buildings surrounding it.

Brašno means flour in the local language. The days of the flour trade are long gone, now tourists are the main business. The old medieval mansions in gray stone with green shutters form a pleasant decor for terraces of restaurants and cafés. Plenty of shops geared towards wealthy tourists. Steep prices.

On Day 2, I walked to the Old Town Using the Gurdich or South Gate. Please see my related review of this Gate. Similar to other Squares located at the Old Town, this Square is surrounded by hotels, shops and restaurants.

This is where you will find the Pima Palace as well as the Buda Palace. There are cafes and shops all around to browse in.

This is a small square located in the Old Town, lined with shops, restaurants etc with the usual picturesque stone buildings.

A little square off the main square, with hotel Astoria and Pima Palace on the perimeter.
one of the many squares that add to the beauty of the old town. It is was fun just to explore all the nooks and crannies.

Our guided tour of Kotor Old City took us through a number of lanes and small city squares. Trg od brasna was one such square. It is home to several of outdoor restaurants and cafes. Some of the buildings surrounding the square contain souvenir, gift and art outlets.
After our guided tour was finished, we returned to this square to take a close look at some of the shops and to enjoy a cool drink.
Worth a look while visiting the old city!
