About
Winery Rak focuses on the production of grapes and wine in Dubrava, near Šibenik, under a specific climate in the Dalmatian area, and we take our pride in the cultivation and production of three autochthonous wine sorts: Babić, Debit and Maraština and from Babić grapes we also produce opolo and rose. Viticulture is long family tradition, which started in 1960-s, and we maintain the tradition today. Honoring the tradition, as our inherited love for vineyards and wines, we use the modern technology and equipment, keeping up with modern standards in the fields of grapevine cultivation and quality wine production. Our family business includes a tasting room, where you can taste our wines and eat homemade culinary specialties! See you in Winery Rak!

    Fab food and wine
Had such an amazing afternoon at this winery. Food was great. The cheese and meat platter was exceptional quality. We then had bbq veal followed by some amazing homemade chocolate cake. This is a family business and they are a genuinely lovely family. The wine tasting was also great. We loved every wine, and it was plentiful. We sat outside to enjoy the nice weather but there is a lovely indoor area too.

    Must do in Sebinek!
Absolutely amazing! We visited in November, very off season! We called and they basically said sure , come on in we’re here working anyway. We had such great wine, with explanation of the wine, the story behind the family vineyard and lots of perspective on the Croatian culture. You can choose a 3 or 6 wine tasting. A highlight of our trip for sure. I’d say a MUST DO when in Šibenik. We are having dinner now and ordered a bottle of RAK marastina. So good!!

    Just go
If you are looking for a break from the city (or maybe are just passing through), stop by for a tasting and a snack. The cheese and prosciutto is great (and large portioned). The wine tasting includes 3 or 6 depending on choice. The owners pour and provide information. Well worth it.

    A must-visit
We received a very warm welcome and enjoyed tasting some delightful wines. Each wine came with a clear explanation, and all our questions were answered. The staff is truly fantastic—very friendly and helpful. We ordered some delicious local snacks with our tasting, including olives, homemade baguette, and ham with cheeses. It is definitely a must-visit!

If you are in the area and like wine, you must pass by the Rak Vineyard. This fourth generation family business is runned by two brothers and their father. We went there with our son, who was entertained for almost two hours with toys he borrowed from the family. We had the pleasure of having the wine gustation with Hunter, one of the sons. And it felt like stopping by a friends house, just to say hi. Very welcoming and friendly. We got to taste 6 different wines without having to pay anything . Two hours passed super fast, and afterwards we had learned about how his great grandfather, had build the vineyard from scratch, talked about family, learned more about the region and had an excellent time. Nothing like when you go to a big vineyard and are just another tourist. And yes, we bought lots of the wine😋

My husband and I aren't huge fans of wine, but we wanted to try a local wine tasting while visiting Croatia. I am so glad we chose Rak Winery! We stopped by without a reservation and we were able to do a wine tasting. The host was amazing. We came on a Friday afternoon and for most of our visit, we were the only ones there so we had the full attention of the host. We learned so much about the local wines and how they are made. He gave generous pours and provided a plate of cheese, olives, and a basket of bread. We ended up enjoying all 6 wines we tasted, which is really unusual for us! All of them were very easy to drink, but still had unique flavors. We ended up buying 3 bottles! Overall a great experience. I highly recommend this winery even if you don't really drink wine.

This was one of my most deliciously memorable experiences of visiting Šibenik. The winery tasting room was easy to locate and very accommodating. I took the tasting the host recommended 1 white, Rose and Red. I'm usually not a Rose fan but in the end I loved them all. The tasting was paired with olives, cheeses and bread from the Michelin star restaurant in the city. Perfection. A big treat for me was to have a tasting of octopus peka the traditional Croatian dish. Mouthwatering!!! The host was really kind and knowledgeable, great English presentation. This experience has high ratings for a reason!! Enjoy it!!!

This was such a lovely place we visited with our 2 young kids and they played on the property while we had wine tasting and a good board. This is a family business and they took the time to explain the history of the family run business and also the wines. Staff were super friendly I recommend visiting.

I've visited a large number of wineries in various countries, but the visit to Rak has been the most memorable experience by far. You get very very personal service from the family owners who are obviously knowledgable and passionate about what they do. We ended up visiting again for food which was absolutely amazing (albeit a bit too much food !!).

Highly recommended if you are in the area and want to do something a little different and have a great experience.

The wine tasting was delicious and the dalmatian food palette was a pure joy. One of the sons did a excellent job to tell us more about the history of the wines and stories about the family. We definitely fell in love with the wines of Croatia. Thank you RAK wines for the lovely afternoon and experience.

This was a highlight of our trip to Croatia. We stopped here for wine tasting after a trip to Krka national park. We arrived about an hour before closing time. Despite that, Ante and his family accommodated us until 30 minutes past closing time. It was great to hear Ante’s stories and descriptions of each wine and even the charcuterie. Each member of their family plays a role to run the winery that has been going for generations. This was so lovely and I’m so glad we were able to stop by!

We went for a wine tasting and had the most amazing time. Andro lead the wine tasting and was welcoming, informative and generous. We tried 7 different wines and had the Dalmatian tasting plate. This was delicious and featured local products. We chose our favourite wines and then was able to purchase these after. The toilet facilities were clean and lovely too. We took a taxi from Sibenik (approx 10mins) for 100K, very easy.
It has been the highlight of our trip! We would highly recommend the experience, a real must if you are in the area!

Our favourite experience while visiting the split area.

The setting is away from the noise of tourism and is very relaxing.

This is a small family run winery and they make you feel so welcome. Andro, our waiter, was very friendly and super knowledgeable. He even recommended some additional experiences in the local area.

Back home in London we like to indulge in a glass of wine or two. The wine we had at Rak was far superior to some of the french or Italian wines we are usually so fond of.

I’d recommend the Maraštin wines. Both the white and orange are among the best wines we’ve ever had.

Make this stop. You will not regret it!
