Overview
More
This locality was protected in 1974. The protected landscape of the Channel-Harbour encompasses the area from the Sibenik Bridge to the end of the Channel of St. Anthony, more precisely to the fortress of St. Nicholas with the accompanying surrounding sea area. No one has yet passed through the Channel of St. Anthony without experiencing awe at this rare sight of beauty. On the Sibenik side, at the start of the channel, stand the rules of old towers erected during the 16th century.

The Sibernik, Croatia channel-harbor is a very scenic area and has a lot of military history with four historic fortresses built nearby. One of these fortresses built in the mid 16th century is named Saint. Nicholas and is located at the entrance to the Saint...More

In front of Sibenik there are several islands to visit, one fortress, Krka river, and more things. Excursions and trips to the nearby islands are available, and the views from above are really nice.

Beautiful small but very busy harbour with an easy access to town centre or the free beach. It offers great views and it is accessible for all ages really. We really enjoyed our strolls around the harbour.

This very busy channel and harbour is bustling with nearly every type of shipping, from cruisers to tiny dinghys. It is very easy and cheap to get a boat taxi, or a ferry to the island beaches, or a longer cruise. There's also a glass...More

What a magnificent entrance to the beautiful city of Sibenik through the sheer limestone cliffs with such history. You can clearly see the caves where they hid boats and the amazing Fort Nicholas guarding the entrance. We caught an inexpensive local boat to go through...More

Allegedly the most secluded harbour in the Adriatic coast - the maze of channels the river Krka created is magnificent. Its power and width, how it carved its way into the sea is something worth seeing! The best view is from the closest town's fortress.

As we were on a small boat cruise, we approached/departed the town through the cut out to the sea. It makes for a relaxing and picturesque view of the town and its hilltop fortress. Note as you enter on the sides to see "Hitler's Eyes"...More
