Going to St. Nichalas's fortress was easy for us, because our hotel was just a walking distance away. Take a few minutes to explore the island after you walk on the board walk. Go off the beaten path and you will find lots of underground...More

We were hoping for an adventure, climbing up the previously mentioned planks and entering through a window. What we found was some scaffolding and the window being blocked and padlocked shut. A search on Wikipedia told us that work is being carried out and that...More

My wife and I visited the Fortress. We drove. Far to far to walk from Sibenik. Picturesque area, walked across the rocks to the fort and yes that is as far as it goes. There are two planks precariously set up to climb up into...More

We used google maps as a sat nav (walking) on our phone to get there and it seemed to take us in via the rear of the fortress.
