Very clean beach. Most famous beach in Zadar, closest beach to city center. It has very relaxing atmosphere. It is really nice.

Beautiful beach, so close to the old city, highly recommend. very easily accessible from zadar town, and you can lose hours at a time if the weather is nice.

We walked here along the shore from the sea organ and it was a good walk. Would never ever swim or sunbathe here , you need very heavy shoes to walk here. Water in fine so once you get in the water it must be heaven. Nice temperature even in october

Kolvare was our closest beach. We came here in August with my son who is 11 years old, but not a confident swimmer. The beach itself is rocky (so beach shoes are a must) and the shelf drops off quite close to shore so although they have life guards in places, you need to keep an eye on the younger... More

If you only spend a little time in Zadar, this beach is the nearest to the old town. Pebbled shore, which is managable, but you have to be careful, because there are some pieces of glass between the pebbles, which can be cut your toes. It is free. The water is clear, and the view is nice. There are some... More

Dirty and nothing special. It's better to visit beaches outside of the city Zadar (e.g. Kozino, Zaton or Petrcane). It's 10mins by car with great views and some nature around.

One of the most famous beaches in Zadar, Kolovare beach is pebble and rocky beach , partly paved. Nice place to seat and relax. Less than 10 min walk from Zadar Bus Station, or from town center.

found this beach by accident but we came back for many reasons: -great view -many bars and places to grab a beer or eat something -trampoline -inflatable platform there were many people but not THAT much so it was acceptable

I had higher hopes for Kolovare beach. It is mixture of concrete, rocky and pebble areas. The beach is quite long but pebble parts are narrow, and the entrance to the sea is not very comfortable. I was there in August and it was very crowded. The sea was ok, clean and refreshing.
