Without the context of which areas are which it’s a bit difficult to really appreciate these ruins. I didn’t see any information or details of guides / audio books. We had a brief walk around and took a couple of photos and appreciated how little...More

Peaceful ruins, an absolute joy. Restoration work is taking place. If you are into Game of Thrones this is where you will find a replica throne to have a photo opportunity. Close by is the tiny Chapel of the Annunciation – do pop inside. You...More

The monastery is partially restored and worth seeing. Game of thrones section with iron throne is easy to find, though not purpose of trip (love the books, hate the show). Hap good lunch in restaurant. Now off to swim (after 30 minutes of course)

Lovely monastery currently under restoration in the gorgeous grounds of the old botanical gardens. There are lots of wildlife to see too. Including many peacocks, a variety of rabbits from fawn to black and lots of birds and lizards.
