We explored this peninsular whilst staying at Hotel Lapad, and found lots of walks along the shore line and the interior. It was only about 3k from the city walls and was a good place to be based - near the city but away from...More

Went here as part of a boat trip. The Captain let me steer the boat to the island where his family live before we explored some of the island and had an authentic meal with his family. Locals make handmade souvenirs for tourists to buy....More

But wouldn’t want to stay there. The walkway restaurant area very touristy and the food nothing much that I could see. We only had a sandwich lunch here but left the first restaurant when we saw the pre bought in white sliced bread. Beach beds...More

Lapad has a pebble beach and varied restaurants and bars. The view of the sunset sat outside the Cave bar is my favourite. Buses regular to go to Dubrovnik. The port is great for trips to the small islands. Great place to stay.

Plenty of bars and restaurants in the Main Street. Really pleasant to walk around the beach area. Feels really relaxing here but really close to old town with just a 10 minute bus ride. Bus is really cheap so it's a good base to stay

This area is where the ferries and some small cruise ships dock about 10 minutes by bus from the old city walls of Dubrovnik. It is an area of shops and restaurants that are much more affordable then the old city tourist traps.

The area is worth a visit if only to wonder around the harbour and soak up the atmosphere, there are a number of very good restaurants along the front offering a good selection of menus

Lapad is lovely. It is peaceful and quiet but you will need your swimming shoes because the stones make it difficult to walk in and out of the sea. I bought a pair in Dubrovnik for 70kn.

Water taxis: We used a water taxi from near the ferry port to Lapad which is just across the water. If you want the beach it is then a 15 min walk from where the water taxi drops you off. The cost is 10kn (about a £1.10) ask... More
