The Mljet island is very pretty and it's a nice day-trip from Dubrovnik if you want a change of scene.Unspoiled nature, breathtaking views, intense colors and crystal clear sea.

Traveling in advance of the high season it's not as easy as it could be to get to Mljet. I had to rent a car and drive to Prapratno for the ferry, take a 45 minute ferry (only available a few times a day) and then navigate to the National Park. So worth it though. I lucked out with lovely... More

I stayed in Mljet for 3 nights in Polače in early May and despite some jitters on whether it would be too long and if I would get bored, I loved every second of it! Polače is pretty and quiet and the view of the sea was stunning. The water was still very cold but the climate was pleasant and... More

A day out at Mljet Island was the highlight of my trip. Beautiful national park with 2 lakes, woods, and peaceful walks. We got the ferry from Prapratno to Sobra but had not realised no buses ran from Sobra to the park which is 25km away so had to hire a car to drive to the park. I think the... More

Travelled by catamaran to Mljet arriving in Sobra. Travelled by bus to the other end of the island. Stunning views and o uncluttered countryside. Stayed in Pomena. Very early in the season so many facilities not yet open. Had to go to Polace to hire bikes to cycle around the lakes in the national park. Good for walking. Island is... More

This is a remote and quiet island which is a short boat journey from Dubrovnik. We stayed there for 5 days and it was honestly so nice. The fact that we had no internet and wifi was bad made it so much better as me and my friends all interacted with each other. The water was clear! Every time you... More

We're probably here at the wrong time of year, but it has generally been sunny during our stay and then there's the wind! If possible, delay your trip to the warmer less windier months when more places are open. It also seems to be a time of year where construction and renovation are undertaken in preparation for the main tourist... More

That is really peaceful place, we drove from Dubrovnik to Peljesac peninsula and took ferry over there. Just loved the nature and have walked for a weekend around and exploring the island of gods.
