The fort itself is not very large, but worth visiting, and gives a superb view of the city walls of Dubrovnik, the old town and the seaward side of the city with cliffs and walls. It’s free if you’ve bought a Dubrovnik card.

One of the most striking features of Dubrovnik when seen from the city walls, it is well worth the trip just outside of the Pile gate to visit Fort Lovrijenac. It offers some splendid views back over Dubrovnik.

I'm 99% sure I visited the fort the day after and got in for free!! Went and did the City Walls first! I think the next day you're safe, but you could always ask while purchasing the city walls ticket.
