It's probably best to walk the walls in the early morning or late in the day (as we did) since it's very hot and feels like it's all uphill. Fortunately there are several food/drink stops along the way to refresh and revive.

A must if your in the old city. Go early because it is not so hot and the crowd is less. We started at 8.30 am and didn’t finished until about 2 hours later. Hubby is a keen photographer so he took heaps of pictures....More

It took us about 1.5 hours to do the whole walls. We started at the pile gate - check which side is closer to your drop off - but there are starting points all along the walls. We watched people kayaking and wished we had... More

you can enjoy the main attractions like Plitvica lakes which is full of ice and frozen .....unique experience. The towns and cities are nice in winter as well. Areasnear the sea are not that cold. enjoy

As other reviewers have said, there is no lift and many, many stairs. Some of the flights are quite narrow and steep. Not suitable for anyone with limited mobility.Take the cable car up the mountain. An easy trip and great... More
