It's an excellent day trip destination with a short boat ride from Dubrovnik. There are many peacocks and wild rabbits roaming on the island which make you feel very close to nature. The views from the shores are excellent. I imagine you could spend at...More

An easy boat excursion from Dubrovnik for an afternoon of swimming and snorkeling off the rocks. (Bring water shoes!) There’s also a nice little outdoor cafe for a snack or drink.

It's a lovely island with free to roam peacocks and rabbits which aren't scared of human interaction at all. There is a lot to see and many places to swim and eat on the island. Most of it is beautiful and well worth the visit...More

Lokrum Island was promoted so much that we wanted to see it. Disappoinment, I have to say - for us. I fully understand that people who come from big cities will find it nice, almost exotic experience. But we come from a Nordic country where...More

We didn't hear as much about this place as some of the other islands near Dubrovnik, but we were glad to find it. Wonderful swimming holes, gorgeous plant life, and just literally more peacocks than you can ever imagine. Fair warning: they are not afraid...More

Really worth a visit. It is a nature island and has peacocks and rabbits that you hand feed. There is a garden with many special plants including many succulents. Loads of butterflies all around. There is a restaurant where the peacocks come beside you but...More

I’m sorry that I really don’t have an answer to that. My guess is that, if there isn’t regular ferry transportation at that time, you could still find someone at the port to take you over in a boat. It’s not far; maybe a... More

Well worth a visit and a break from the old town, we spent around 3 hours and that was long enough for us, you can swim on the island or do sea kayaks which would take longer.
