Went up early (around 5 pm) to get ahead of sunset crowds. Had to wait through one car. Views were well worth it !

A 5 minute walk up the hill outside the city walls from Pile Gate, we visited on a Sunday morning around 11am. We timed it perfectly as there were only a few people ahead of us waiting in line. Contrary to another reviewers opinion we were told by staff that the cable car goes every 15 minutes no matter how... More
The cable car is a must do attraction whilst staying in Dubrovnik. The ride up is a few minutes long and delivers you to the hill directly above the old city. The facility is spread across a few levels so you can see the views from different perspectives. The views are incredible. I would also recommend going up there to... More
What a day we have had, and a trip up the mounting in a state of the art cable car is the icing on the cake, been a great few days here boat trips coach trips local beer, great company what more can a trip offer, and loads of walking 🚶👍👍
If you are fit take the walk up takes about 1 hour. Yuo will be rewarded with a good wiew of Dubrovnic. Have a good meal and enjoy the sunset
Getting on to the cable car was stressful because of some elderly tourists trying to push far into the queue. But we beat them on and took the prime viewing spot, so yay! My wife and I will be arriving in Dubrovnik from a NCL cruise ship on Sun 26 April 2015 and we would like to get some information about the cable car.
How far is it from the dock to the cable car?
Is it a taxi ride or walkable in a reasonable time?
What are the best times to avoid queues, if possible?
What facilities are there at the summit, ie. cafes, restaurants?
What is the approx cost?
Can I book in advance?
Very many thanks for your reply

How do I find the cable car if I arrive by ferry from cavtat. What is the best day and time to go and where is the best place to get a ticket.
Hi! Is it worth doing both the city walls and the cable car? Which is best in your opinion? Thank you!
