    Still Ticking
The city clock has been ticking for centuries on Pjaca and is an easily visible monument that has been gracing the city ever since 15th century. What makes this clock unique and an important attraction is that it runs on 24 digits rather than the usual 12 hours. It is surrounded by cafés, restaurants and bars so the citizens of Split (as well as tourists) can always find a place to rest, meet, be seen and see others. Every building on Pjaca has its story, each is a witness of history and the spirit of the city. Pjace or Narodni trg replaced the peristyle as the city’s main square in the 14th century, and is overlooked by this Romanesque clock tower with the remains of a medieval sundial.

Nice 24hr clock with a sun face.
I only really looked at this clock as I was walking past taking photos of the Iron gate entrance into the Diocletian's palace. It has a sun center and has 24 hour markers obviously for each hour of the day. A nice old clock that has been working for centuries.

    Very beautiful bell tower
City clock is a bell tower located in the old town of Split, the main city in the Coast of Dalmatia, in Croatia. You can see it, if you walk around the old town and really it is a very nice tower. It is located in a narrow street and the zone and a picture with this tower and some stone buildings is really very beautiful during the day and at night. One of the top point in the old town.

Nice city clock that’s steeped in history, visually nice to see and photograph.

Around clock many restaurants and entrainment venues, good to see during the day and night.

In People's Square or Pjaca, there’s a clock tower at the eastern end. In addition to telling the time, it also has an interesting sculpture of the Sum in the centre. The sculpture has rays emanating from the sun, with one of the rays extending further out and hitting a planet, presumably the Earth and indicating the hour position. A nice landmark.

This centuries old clock located in a tower near the Iron Gate is unique in that it has 24 Roman numerals depicting the 24 hours of the day. It also has a bursting sun in its center which likewise is somewhat unique. Just another interesting element of tthis historic old town.

i struggled to find this, it’s not obvious at all where it is and i couldn’t see any signage indicating where it is. it took me a few visits to the square to find it! it’s pretty but there isn’t any signs or anything explaining the history behind it; that would have been nice to read.

What makes this 15th-century clock so interesting is that it has 24 digits instead of the more common 12 digits. Located at the eastern edge of People’s Square adjacent to the Iron Gate, the clock also functions as a good point of reference to other attractions.
