There’s nothing like the hustle and bustle of a market to attract interest even if you are only looking. There is a good atmosphere and it’s great seeing what people buy

Fish market is definitely in your to do list, if you’re visiting Split. Not the biggest market i ever seen but still you’re able to buy a lot of exotic seafood , for low price. Personally recommend calamari and prawns.

Great fish selection. What you need for a good lunch or dinner at home you find it there. Also the cleaning service of fish fast and very good. If you are for holidays you have to try once at least.

The Fish Market is located in the city center, close to the port. Everyone can find it easily due to the fish odor. Everything is fresh, if you visit around noon, before the closing, then the prices are cheaper.

We purchased a kilo of scampi for dinner. They were very reasonably priced. We peeled them and cooked them in butter in our apartment. Heaven!

We visited the market as part of a walking tour and what an incredible place - full of freshly caught fish and seafood sold by locals. If seafood is your thing then you have to stop by and pick up the freshest seafood available.
