Walked here from town. Quiet, lots of spots to take a dip, water was clean and we enjoyed the ambience a lot. Good to know you can go for a swim in Split

Recommended by our Hotel reception but having travelled so far around Marjan we were disappointed and didn't stay.
It is a concrete beach in the wilds if that is what you are looking for.
Arguably it was mid-September (end of summer season) and the skies were heavy and grey, but we were disappointed at the lack of food and drink facilities (basic cafe - drinks only).
We left and walked back the 30-40 mins walk to Kasjui beach (which was like an up-market 18-30s club with music and bar service).

This beach is nice because it’s away from the largest crowds, but there are only hard rocks to lay on and so many pine needles in the sea.

If you’re looking for a sandy beach, this is not for you. There are a few sports and kids activities but the bathing area is rocky and limited.

Not worth the trip to get there, which can only be accessed via waking or a bus, an uber or taxi can not drive through the forest park. Make sure you also have plenty of cash as there is only one restaurant and shop there and its very over priced. In terms of a comfortable beach stay, this is not the one. Although yes its very pretty, its very rocky/foresty under foot and the loungers are very overpriced. Also the swimming is better at the beach around the corner as its very shallow here, and can only really get in one way as its so rocky and slippery elsewhere. If you want a really quiet day away from everyone and dont mind splashing on a sunbed and also just want to lounge around in the shallows then this beach is quiet pleasant for that, for expect to be ripped off wth prices at the shop

The beach is quite calm. Great place to spend the day. Bene Beach stands in Marjan Park and it is quiet and relaxing. Really enjoyed visiting this beach and felt much more away from the other tourists.

This is the first place in Croatia where I felt ripped off. They over charge tourist for loungers, the prices that are listed, are not what they charge you when you go to pay. They claimed that they were old prices from two years. Though a few days ago, the price I was charged was what was advertised. They must of decided I had money, so I should pay more this time. They are scamming tourist, I’m sure locals would be fine. When I challenged them about the price, they became rude and extreme aggressive towards me. As a small female, I felt very threatened by them. I would highly recommend avoiding this place if you have small children. I wouldn’t want to put my family in a situation like this. And let’s face it, who knows what they are capable of if this level of aggression is their reaction to being called out. Wouldn’t want to think. Was tempted to call the police, but I wasn’t too sure if they would take this seriously.
I went here two years ago and it appears to have changed management in that time. It’s a shame because it was lovely then. The people who are running it now, are hairy thugs with cigarettes hanging out of their mouths. I would seriously avoid this place. And to be honest it’s kind of run down. They children’s play area is all torn up and very dangerous

The Bene Beach recreational area - with its crescent-shaped coastline, its backdrop of lush vegetation, and its myriad of hiking trails - is undoubtedly quite different in winter than it is in summer, but no less appealing.
The playground remains silent; the tennis court remains empty; the food kiosks remain closed; and, the beach is devoid of swimmers. (Fortunately, the WCs remain open.)
The focus then switches to the senses: a brilliant blue sky; a bright blue sea; a bracing brisk breeze; the rustling of leaves; and an entire palette of earth tones.
The Bene Beach area is one of those places that makes it nearly impossible to capture a multi-dimensional experience in a two-dimensional photograph.
Very convenient access from the main tourist hub, via Bus 12 from St. Francis Church roundabout. Bene Beach is its terminus. Buses run about every hour and 15 minutes throughout the day.
Best to check updated bus schedules on the Internet or on the schedule posted in the bus shelter at the St. Francis roundabout.

Trees down to the water from the forest park. Cafe. Quiet in October but still warm. Idyllic this time of year but can imagine it loses its charm to crowding in high summer.
