Short walk from the central part of Split in Old Town. Very nice collection that gives a good sense of the history of the city. Tends to be less crowded than some of the other popular tourist spots. Could use some more information displays at...More

This is a pleasant short walk from the centre of Split in a leafy road. It is unassuming but you know it is special when you enter the gate into the peaceful garden - surrounded by many artifacts and treasures under walkways. The entrance fee...More

Interesting museum with a good display in the lapidarium. Ticket is 4 Euro, open in the morning and afternoon, not all day.

well presented and fairly compact/limited, the collection still informs and is well worth the detour. The grounds of the house have some very interesting items tucked away.

You could spend one hour here or four. The museum is not huge, but it is well organized and extremely high quality. When we went it was not crowded at all. There was also a very friendly cat.

This gem of a museum was just a short distance from our hotel, but probably less than 20 minutes walk from the Old Town. So many items to see - from Roman and Greek hairpins to pots and sarcophagi. A modest entry charge and it's...More

I may be biased, but the collection here is fantastic. Even if you are not geeked out on Roman artefacts, there are wonderful everyday and household items to grab the attention of those with even the most mundane historical interests. Did you know that this...More
