This temple is in the very center of town in the middle of the Palace but can be easy to miss if you're not looking for it or are not wandering around the Palace in its direction.

We got to go here because it was included in our ticket from Cathedral and Bell Tower of St. Domn so we went. It truly will take you 10 minutes and that includes reading a small piece that describes Temple of Jupiter.

After having read about this Temple, our expectation was higher. You can cover this place in 10 minutes and nothing special but worth visiting if you are already in the Palace.

I have no idea what the price of an individual ticket is since I chose to visit this as part of the wider Cathedral tour with a combined ticket, which I suspect is altogether better value for money. As for the Temple itself - yes...More

If you are visiting Split I would highly recommend getting a ticket giving you access to a range of sites around Diocletian's palace. There are a number of places to visit and paying for individual access to them all is dear. The temple of Jupiter...More

Meant to be one of the finest temples but is in effect just a small high ceiling room with a large bronze statue of St.John the Baptist in, and 2 sarcophagi containing the first 2 archbishops of Split in them. Don't need any longer than...More

The tickets to the temple can be bought as a pair with cathedral tickets, this is the cheaper option. The large baptismal font which is at the centre of this small space is interesting. Probably not worth visiting on it's own as you don't get...More

Temple of Jupiter(Jupiterov hram in Croatian) was said to be turned into Baptistery of St.John the Baptist in the 6th century AD. It was simple and small, but beautiful, especially a relief of medieval king of Croatia on a baptismal font, a kind of pattern...More

The entrance ticket is about 1,5 EUR. And it's 1,5 EUR too much. Have a look at it from the outside, really no reason to go in.

My wife and I purchase a ticket for to enter the Temple. This is a one room facility with a nice bronze statue. Of course you have to touch the toe for good luck like everyone else. Ten minutes is sufficient.
