Very nice architecture! Worth stopping by to see. No indication that they give tours, but that would be a good thing to do.

The synagogue is not as highly decorated or ornate inside as the Orthodox churches are but it is worth a short visit. There are some artifacts on display just inside the front door but all the signs are in Russian.

Building fas some yard with fence. Security looks at you like you are criminal or some terrorist. Very bad impression. Everyone looks at you in a way you feel superfluous there. Maybe I was visiting it in a wrong time, but with that atmosphere I...More

I was welcomed warmly by a member of the congregation and it made my day and my trip to what is otherwise a very dull and drab provincial city (despite its large population). Worth the time to sit and think.

As an Israeli I could not skip to visit the Synagogue. When I visit Synagogues around the world I feel home and that warm feeling rises my spirit even though I don't consider myself religious. And yes, it is also beautiful place full of history...

Magnificent building with one of the highest dome I`ve ever seen. Gives a hint of the history of Jewish community in Kharkiv. Very good preserved by today`s community. Visitors welcomed by smiling faces.

Worth visiting. The synagogue has been refurbished, visitors are welcomed. My husband and I have even received a tour from a local rebbe.
