The monument is in a beautiful square in front of the cathedral and a few meters from the pedestrian street, and is the meeting place for many of the tours of the city.

There was nothing particularly special about this full length bronze state, located in Sabornaya Squsre. For the role of the count as an early mayor of Odessa and commissioning the Potemkin Steps, such recognition is nevertheless proper.

Located close to lots of other historical places - no reason not to see it. If you are a history buff, then it is an absolute must given the history of the person/city/monument.

Great during summers and springs - nuce square next to famous Deribasovskaya and restored cathedral. A lot of kids around and famous chess playing place on the benches

It is the second monument in the city, founded in 19-th century, situated in the heart of the city in one of central parks. Miraculously survived the Soviet regime.
