Judging from my experience, this is a good company with which to do business. Three of us in our 60s scheduled the day hike of Pacaya. We asked to change days when high winds were forecast and we were accommodated. Our guide was Diego and we were joined by Edwin at the volcano which was a 1.5 hour drive from... More

A friend, her 16 year old daughter and I took the bike tour to the De La Gente Coffee Cooperative and it was the highlight of the vacation. Our guide from Old Town Outfitters was great - helpful with the bikes, offered additional information about Antigua/Guatemala/Central America, took great pictures and made us all feel comfortable. The hike, visit to... More

We booked with Old Town Outfitters for the overnight Volcan Acatenango trek. It was incredible from start to finish. The tour guide, Alex, was an absolute hero. He was charming, friendly, caring and funny and kept us going when things got tough. The food provided was really good. We were advised by others to bring lots of snacks with us,... More

Old town outfitters were great to work with and Sebastian made the day an awesome experience. He and the local guide Monkey worked together to tell us so many interesting facts about the volcano, vegetation and Guatemala. Sebastian was so knowledgeable and kind. You have to request him if possible. It says this is an easy to moderate hike but... More

This was a great experience! One of the best mountain bike trails I have ever ridden! We went to the shop early Sunday morning to meet our guide, and get everything ready. The bikes were very nice... I got a Kona full suspension 27.5" that was already set up for me. My wife was given a specialized full suspension 26"... More

The week before our hike tragedy struck the Volcano. Old Town did a great job communicating throughout. Our guides Emmy and Billy were FANTASTIC. Although I had been climbing steps for weeks, I was the slow-poke and having two guides made all the difference. Emmy prepared 3 great meals. Definitely bring layers and the 4L water suggestion (note that the... More

We booked the intermediate mountain biking tour and it was spectacular! The 18 mile bike ride took us to the outskirts of Antiqua through many villages, seeing many beautiful churches and meeting some of the locals. I felt this was the best way to really get to know the daily lifestyle of these people. Their culture is amazing and definitely... More

I, along with 7 other family members, went on the overnight hike up Volcán Acatenango with Old Town Outfitters. We were all so glad that we chose Old Town. The people in the office were nice and informative, the guides were professional, knowledgeable and fun, the local people they let us hire to help carry things were incredible! Overall, this... We did an awesome mountain biking day trip while in Antigua, the guide, Pablo, was fantastic, very friendly and spoke English very well. The ride uphill was challenging but very rewarding and the cruise down was a blast! I didn't realize until we were back in town but while at the summit of our ride I forgot my cell phone.... More
