This is a must see location in Antigua. You do not have to be a guest to stroll through the manicured gardens, ruins, crypts, fountains and to see the beautiful blue and red macaws. There are several restaurants, all of which I have heard are...More

You will walk past this place throughout your entire stay in Antigua if you aren't paying attention. Don't miss this opportunity for a quiet getaway tucked right into the city. Great food, great bar, awesome atmosphere!

Casa Santo Domingo is a great combination of an elegant hotel, ruins, and museums all in one place. We didn't stay at the hotel but enjoyed touring the grounds to see the museum and ruins.

This place is a luxury hotel, fine dining restaurant, great museum, and a haunted colonial landmark. It's also a dream destination for weddings.

Thank goodness that we didn't have to pay for the museum, such a waste of time. We absolutely loved our room at Casa Santo Domingo but the museum itself was a total waste. With our stay, we received free entry. Don't pay to see it,...More

Casa Santo Domingo offers much. The grounds are beautiful, but my favorite section is the museum of the religious artifacts. There is also another museum with fascinating artworks, but be sure to spend time in the solemn museum dedicated to religious artifacts. Their reverence casts...More

The story is that this building was built and then destroyed in an earthquake before it was finished and then was never completed. You can see all the amazing work that was put into this building. It's a shame it was never completed. You walk...More

You can enjoy much of the grounds of Casa Santa Domingo for free, but you must pay for the museums. The grounds are worth a peak regardless. We returned for an excellent dinner one night and highly recommend the good value tasting menu

You do not need air conditioning. It's not that hot in Antigua during the summer. We stayed at Porta Hotel Antigua and just ate at Santo Domingo so I don't know.

They have fans on ceiling. The trees and plants provides a nice fresh air around the site.

Yes. But town is very unagreeable to drive around (narrow streets and difficult to park day time).
