Nim Po't is an usual store for Antigua in that its wares are all spread out with prices on them and there are no venders there trying to sell you anything. You can find all sorts of textiles, from very expensive, authentic huipils to seconds, which can be priced as low as $5 but are perfect for wall hangings. There... More

I'd read the reviews, seen the photos and looked at their website, but nothing really prepared me for this delightful place to visit. It's a pretty funky vibe, not your traditional shop. Tall, tall ceilings, maybe a bit dusty, lots and lots of inventory. It has a huge variety of offerings, from low price to high....from t-shirts to carvings, from... More

This store is massive and has a very large selection of souvenirs. The selection is very good. It offers the same items as the straw market, but without the high pressure sales tactics. It is slightly more expensive than the straw market, but the prices are reasonable.

Near the arch, this is the best artisan market we found in Antigua. Football-field sized, it has lots of variety at good prices. Textiles, wood sculptures (e.g., angels, masks), ceramics, paintings, consumables. Worth seeing just to see.

This place is huge and has interesting displays of huipiles from around the country; I especially enjoy digging through the piles of used huipiles and other textiles.

My wife and I went to this place (whose spelling I can't recall without Googling it while I write this) to do some shopping while we were in Antigua. The city is so small you xan pretty much cover the whole grid on foot in one day, which we did. I think we did most of our "bring stuff back... More

Unlike the mercadito off the main plaza, this one has fixed prices which means you can shop in complete peace. There's a huge variety of items and gorgeous colors. I can't wait to go back and decorate my house!

Ever since we moved to Guatemala we've been intrigued by the diversity in their culture, especially seen in the beautiful clothing worn by the different language groups and regions of the country. Here you can get a glimpse of each of those native costumes and even buy one if you like! I loved seeing the piles of used huipil's (blouses)... More

Large shop run by mayan people, with lots of different local souvenirs. They have clothing, chocolate, coffee, wooden masks, paintings and lots more. Reasonable prices.

All sorts of textiles, pottery, books, tee shirts, etc. Great selection at what seem like fair prices. Easy one-stop shopping. My 13-year-old son loves it too.
