Beautiful ruins with helpful information boards in multiple languages. Cheap entry at Q20 but not that big. Relatively quick stop. Was not very busy when we went at all. Saw two other groups going round.

I first went to the active church area which is kinda quaint and very in the athletic for the area. Still has some holiday decorations up ( likely till the saint feast day)
It still has masses regularly.
But go backside across from colonial museo (also a must see) and see the cathedral and sky.

Beautiful ruins, the arches without the domes are a stunning sight and make for perfect photos. Worth the minimal ticket and doesn't require much time.

I love to take photos here. The arches are still intact but the ceiling of this cathedral is missing, leaving it open-air. Beautiful on a day with blue skies. Entrance was 20 quetzales.

Go early to avoid a crowd. We went at 8:45am and had the place to ourselves. It’s beautiful and totally worth the small entrance fee!

This place is well worth a short visit to take some photos, walk around and take in some of the old architecture and history. There are many places to walk thru and see the many aspects of the catedral.

The earthquakes in the 1700s devastated this area and this cathedral lost it's ceiling. It is eerie and beautiful to wander around here and see the remnants of what obviously was (and still is) a gorgeous church.

Such a stunning ruin!! LOVE the open ceilings. Can you imagine how gorgeous this structure was prior to the devastating earthquakes?? The intricate stone carvings in the ceiling unlock only a small portion of this cathedral's prior majesty. Be sure to go on a day when the skies are blue and there is no rain.

My biggest tip is that you need to plan plenty of time to see everything in Antiqua. The tour was very informative but comparing this historical site to others in the city, this one was relatively easy to see in a short period of time.
