Quaint and nostalgic wedding ceremony

The building was built in 1838 and it appears to have been well maintained. They allowed me to go to the balcony for photos. There is a bathroom in case you were wondering.

Admission is included with the Whaling Museum ticket, however there was not an attendant on hand at the meeting house to check tickets. We used the brochure to read about the history of Quakers on the island and the meeting house. They also had a small exhibit in the lobby on stereoscopes.

Elegant, simple wedding ceremony venue. Was perfect on our family's wonderful day. I would recommend looking into it for your occasion. Balcony above makes for perfect overhead ceremony shots for a photographer.

The Meeting House itself is just that. Not much to see or do and will take all of 5 minutes. But the Historical Library adjacent has a great little gallery on the quaint characters and customs of early Nantucket residents. Fun and entertaining, but most likely not a permanent display.

A great place to learn some Quaker as well as Nantucket History. There is a small museum and reference room. Take a tour to be sure you get the background. Learn about the founding residents of Nantucket.

An old house with the typical architecture in a harbor location, a place that will educate you who are the first prominent people of Nantucket.
