This lighthouse is gorgeous from any angle. It's a typical white and black tower. What sets it apart from other lighthouses is the location. The northern edge of Nantucket has a harbor surrounded by land on three sides. The only entry point from Trap/Pot water...More

I spent many hours fishing from Brant Point. It is the oldest lighthouse in the US and one of the smallest. In the fog it's light and horn can be seen and heard for miles and was always a welcome call. Note: Tradition holds that...More

You can see this one from the ferry. It's a tradition to throw a penny into the channel from the ferry while passing the lighthouse. Supposed to ensure you will come back to Nantucket again. You can't go inside or climb the light, but it's...More

Beautiful lighthouse that is situated just a short walk from the town center and looks out onto Nantucket Harbor. You can spot a great view of sailboats on the harbor and potentially be accompanied by folks out for an afternoon of fishing on the beach!...More

This is such a cute little lighthouse, and it's still so useful for fog warnings. It's beautifully situated, and it really makes you feel like you're on Nantucket!

Brant Point Lighthouse is at the end of Easton St. a short walk from downtown Nantucket. A walk is probably the best way to get there as the nearest parking is about a half block away and you don't find out until you are at...More

This might seem like a tourist location and in some ways it is. Often there are too many people here shooting dozens and dozens of photos of themselves or their children. Often you will find professional photographers with their clients. This can get a bit...More

Unsure about that but made us wonder as well. It would make an excellent B&B or other type rental. What a location.
