The oldest house is a fun stop to make on the island. We loved looking at the old architecture and the windows. You won't spend too much time here, but worth a stop.

Unbelievable how families survived and lived back in time. Nantucket had no trees then so heating, shelter, food, etc. was a feat in its self.

We went to the whaling museum and this was part of our package. It's the oldest house on the island. Our tour started out by the old tree in the front yard. Then we went in and we saw how the rich people lived back...More

This is an interesting historic home that gives you a perspective on what was once high-class on the island. It's worth the money for a tour, but they are only open 11-4.More

This dates from 1676 and was a wedding present for the couple by their fathers who had had a long running argument over land. Very good docent lead tour. This is part of the Nantucket Historical Association pass.More
