First of all, admittance is free which is wonderful for a community museum. The "By Hand" exhibit was wonderfully curated - an assortment of fiber, jewelry and sculpture beautifully displayed. A wonderful display space with tall ceilings and natural light. Staff was friendly.

I didn’t quite know what to expect and was pleasantly surprised to find a display with a variety of techniques, including some new artists whose work I will now follow, and delighted to know they have the rotating exhibits so there’s always something new. Wish it was more kid friendly with a way to encourage they to try something artistic (while parents look at art). The gift shop seemed to be bursting out of its small space,
Big kudos to Victoria at the Attleboro Industrial Museum for suggesting we visit - do give them a try for a different sort of artistry - engraving and jewelry making.

You might not normally associate Attleboro as a cultural hotspot, but if you are in the area, you might want to check out this nice little museum that is FREE (donation requested). With a variety of juried exhibits and classes throughout the year, the Attleboro Arts Museum is a quiet place to reflect. The actual gallery may only have about 100 pieces, but it is remarkable the varied talent that is in the area. I attended the See the Light exhibit in June 2014 and it was remarkable! if you go on one of the nights when a show opens, you can have a nice evening out including wine, cheese, etc and live music for a nominal fee at the donation box. Parking is easy in their lot and it is all on one floor, completely accessible.

Most art museums have static displays and where Attleboro is located only 12 miles from the great Rhode Island School of Design Museum of Art in Providence and 35 miles from the Boston Museum of Fine Arts & Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, they have to do something different to thrive. And they do by hosting community events celebrating the Arts like an annual flower show each spring, poetry slams, juried national art shows, art challenges, art classes and even an art lovers book club.

I enjoy the art museum and the other sponsored events. The wine tastings are a wonderful local event that brings quite a crowd of locals together in one place and tonight was no exception. Good wines and food.

If you want to enjoy the ambiance of this museum, pay attention to when the FREE opening nights for exhibits are because they serve a nice wine and cheese table while you enjoy background music and take in the art with the artists and it is a real event. If you go at another time, it is a quiet reflective place to visit. They offer a variety of art classes if you check the web page, especially for kids too.

A great sampling of the local talent of businesses and people. They have great collections of different types of offering at varying times through the year.

This place has potential, but is already an interesting place to visit in downtown Attleboro. The Art Show and Flowe Show they have every year are worth a visit.
The Museum seems to work hard to add some interesting flavor to the City. If you visit, there are some nice restaurants nearby. They are within walking distance.

The museum seems to make an extraordinary effort to offer a variety of art media. I especially enjoy the juried painting shows.
