Lookout

A great spot to view some beautiful little islets, park and walk in the national park, see where Captain Cook landed or have a picnic! Worth the drive!

The monument is at the end of a grassy slope leading to beautiful clifftop views. If you go at dusk you will be serenaded by seabirds who are heading for their homes on Philip Island. A lovely little spot. Take a picnic and settle in to enjoy the view, or go for a stroll through the nearby national park.

A beautiful spot, magnificent views of the rugged coastline. A great place for bird spotting. There is a walking trail which we did not take.

Heading to Anson Bay this turnoff takes you into the National Park and out onto a cliff top. Beautiful setting for a picnic or bbq along with the views.

We went there and it was a little windy and rainy but the facilities and lookout was in great condition. The view was spectacular allowing us to view the migrating birds taking full advantage of the winds and even though it was an overcast day the water was a turquoise blue. Great hiking trails into the national park to bird... More

The setting is lovely with large lush green lawns, picnic tables, toilets and walk. There is a lovely 1.7km walk following the coast from the monument. Great views of the ocean and rocks below. Walk quite up and down but a good track

We nearly missed this which would have been disappointing. The scenery is beautiful, could not believe the colour of the water.

No one had mentioned this area to us so we were stunned when we walked to the lookout. The views are amazing. We also took the Bridle walk along the cliffs. Very nice.

We were trying to find a pottery shop but ended up here - and thank goodness we did! Beautiful - absolutely stunning. Immaculate grounds, excellent decks and walkways, views to die for! Plenty of bird life to watch or photograph. A must see/do - and it's totally free!
