Our friend gave us a tour of Skopje to show us the highlights and almost did not come here due to the cold weather, it would have been a sad decision not to come. The walk up to the lake was beautiful, the winding walkway...More

We visited with my girlfriend and that place is just amazing. It's a must see place in Macedonia. We believe in summer it's better but still it was one of the main attraction in our vacation!

Just perfect piece of nature. Every time I go there is seems as it is first time. Be prepared to have long walks.

We walked in and had a glass of wine and a beer. But it was the wrong season to be here. Everything was closed up for winter. The staff were very accommodating and they did have great wine.

It is a great trip rewarding with a really beautiful view. You should check how to get there, due to major road reconstructions, you can only get halfway with a bus, then you must walk. Boat trips only start with at least 4 people, or...More

This place is beautiful! We took a boat ride through the canyon and then went into the caves. The whole experience was great and I hope to return when it's warmer too.

This place is beautiful and their restaurant is superb. The hotel is right on side of a hilltop which offers a romantic setting. There is hiking, kayaking and cave exploration so there is always something to do.

Definitely worth a visit. I was looking forward to this and was not disappointed. Took a short boat ride around the canyon. It was cold but incredibly beautiful.

Hi, I will echo another response that you received; that you just walk to the area near the resort hotel where you can rent a boat for about 400 MKD per person and see the lake on a guided tour. The path is somewhat narrow... More

I traveled to Lake Matka in the summer - July. I can only imagine it may be too cold in December. Do you think they may be closed during that time. I suggest you contact the Macedonian Tourist Office.

As a Canadian, a tourist visa is not required for us....just a passport. You should check with the Macedonian Embassy in Riyadh if a Philippine passport will suffice and may not need a tourist visa.
