After visiting Eight Friend Street, a gift shop, I drove farther up Friend Street to see what else was there. I came to Amesbury Town Park.
The park had a lot of open space, a skateboard park, athletic fields, a disc golf course, a splash pad, a playground, and more.
At the skateboard park, I watched a father and son work the course on their skateboards for awhile. Both were very skilled.
I walked around. There was a roadway that cut through the park to additional parking. It was a good, fairy level surface for walking. Some of grassy area were also good for walking; some others weren’t.
There was a maple tree near that cut-through roadway that still had most of its leaves in late November. The leaves were a nice orange shade. I couldn't tell if it was a Sugar Maple, Japanese Maples, or a Red Sunset Maple as the leaves on all three turn orange in the fall.
I enjoyed my walk there.
For its size and variety of hat it had to offer, I rate Amesbury Town Park a 4.50.
