Just discovered this delightful park, a stone's throw from Historic Annapolis. $6 entry fee required to enter but the staff at the entrance could have been a little more friendly. When I asked questions about the park, about the history, wildlife and when it opened, the woman didn't seem to know. Strange. She works at the park and yet knows nothing about it. 350-acre park, lots of places to roam and great deer habitat, although my girlfriend and I didn't see any, but it was our first visit. Great birding opportunities, especially around the water. Never seems crowded even though quite a few people were in the park. I like that feeling of isolation. Has a Dog Beach where people can take their pets for a dip. Not crazy about that as I am not a dog person. Still exploring other parts of the park so eventually may give this park 5-stars. Many buildings to explore and there is even an art gallery available.

We rented a two person kayak for two hours which was more than enough time to traverse the very small water area that you're allowed to navigate. It was very busy - kayaks, paddle boards, yachts, motor boats - to the degree that it wasn't very peaceful. Constantly felt like you had to navigate around another paddler or avoid being rammed by a vessel.

Looking forward to another chance to attend such a concert in 2022. Walking around is lovely on various trails, and watching my daughter ice skate this winter was fun.

Was a nice park to spend a couple hours. Walked our dog, saw some birds and nice people. Employee at visitor center out with their Box Turtle and had nice conversation. Nice level paths for strollers and easy walking. Gardens look like the will be great when flowers bloom.

We love this park. We bought a lifetime pass. There are a variety of walking paths, a play ground, kayak, canoe, paddler board rentals. Just a very pleasant place to spend an hour and afternoon or a day.

My family and I wanted to take a walk after breakfast before leaving Annapolis to drive to our next destination so we went to Quiet Waters Park. Lots of walking trails, most of them shaded by mature trees, and not very busy when we were there. Next time we'll rent kayaks and do some paddling.

Nice big outdoor park not far from Annapolis Harbor. Beautiful plaza that is used as an ice skate rink in the winter. Has a little dog beach where you can let your dog off the leash.

It said that there are trails to walk/bike. Does anyone know how long the trails are? Is it just a flat paved trail? And I saw someone mention they rented kayaks. Is that still available and is anyone know how much or who I could contact? Thanks.

The trails are quite extensive for the 340 acres and they are all paved. They run from the park entrance and meander through the grounds all the way down to the dog beach. The telephone for Quiet Waters Park is (410) 222-1777

Hi everyone,
I saw that Quiet Waters Park has a Dog Beach where dogs are allowed to swim--is this easy to find once you're at the park? And are people allowed to go swimming with their dogs? If not and there is a separate people swimming beach, are dogs (on leashes) allowed to swim there? We live almost an hour and a half away and we think our puppy would really enjoy a day out at the beach but we also need a way to cool off. Thanks in advance!

Quiet Waters Park is a Beautiful 350 Acre Park and the 2nd Most Visited Site in Annapolis next to the US Naval Academy.
Yes we have a very active Dog Park and Dog Beach on the South River. There is not a Beach for humans only for our doggie buddies.
You may take your canine friend out on the water in a kayak or row boat at our rental location and “ fall in the water” to cool off in Harness Creek if you choose.
Paddle or Peddle ( our vendor) is open on Friday’s thru Sunday thru the Summer.
We are open 7 days a week and the weekends are very busy in nice weather with over 1000 vehicles coming into the Park.
Entry fee is $6.00 per Vehicle for the all day rate to the Park.
Hope that answers your questions!
The number for the Park is 410-222-1777 for your additional questions.

I would like to take my dog with me on a 4 person inflatable boat. Is there a place to do that in this park or surrounding are? If so, where is the launching point?

You may be able to get the inflatable in there, if not, Truxton Park may be the next best bet. I would try Quiet Waters first,
Can you still access the trails even when the park is closed?

Hi, Barb. What would you like to know about this attraction? Are there plenty of kayaks or do I need to make a reservation? I'm going to need three on Sunday! Thanks

I'm fortunate to have my own kayak and wheel it from parking to the launch area nearby the rental dock. This is also a great place for SUPs and canoes. The walking and biking paths are great, and there are plenty of playgrounds and fields for play at all ages. Native species gardens and composting area also informative.
