El casco viejo is the best part of Panama town. You can take a deep breath of colonial period in every corner and get lost on the small calles for a day

Panama has its soul in Casco Antiguo and it is a Latin American one. So one has to live in it.It is safe (we avoided deserted small streets) and full of pleasant surprises such as monuments, houses, shops, bars and restauarants.

We stayed at Dreams Playa Bonita in Panama and the resort offered a complimentary ride to the old city in the evening. We went to Tantalo had drinks and enjoyed music.

Lots of churches! Make sure to go inside each one. It is easy to go on your own as they have maps at each point of interest.

In the midst of a never ending rehab construction sight. Cosco is a bustling area full of tourist, churches, shops and some of the most expensive (not necessarily the best) restaurants in Panama. Frequently smelly and full of garbage. But still a must see. Cosco...More
