The Amador Causeway is a long narrow park area where you can walk, jog or ride a bicycle. It is the location of docks to take ferries to islands, has many great restaurants and a beautiful of Panama City's skyline, especially at night.

The place to be on a Sunday! Loads of people who skate, run, play basketball, flirt, etc etc. In the middle is the fish market which has a fish smell, but is great to see and taste some fish.

Recently we visited this part of Panama City on a Sunday to enjoy what the Panamanians consider a lovely view of the capital. We arrived by taxi to Alberto restaurant where we rented some bicycles and cruise along the causeway. It was very crowded on...More

There are a lot of good places to eat here. It is interesting and worth a look. Spend as little or as much time as you want depending on your likes.

The Amador Causeway has been on a constant metamorphosis over the years and it has always been popular. Nowadays it includes many facilities (and much improved) that make it suitable for families, solos, couples or whatever. Make sure to visit it before it is spoilt...More

When you drive here you get wonderful views of the islands and the city. Beware of new construction going on for a biking area, as it causes traffic tie-ups on the weekend. Heavily used by locals on weekends, so I recommend going during the week....More

This is a nice area to visit. There are several marinas. The ferry to the Pearl islands leaves from here. We stayed at the Country Inns and Suites, it has balconies over looking the Canal.

This is a great place to unwind in Panama city. There is a clear view of Panama City from here as well as some great restaurants. It's also a stop on the hop on, hop off tour bus which is an added incentive for visiting.

Many things were not open in July, but on the weekend there were people out relaxing, renting surrey-type bikes and enjoying meals at the restaurants that were open. Some of the restaurants have a fine view of the canal or bay from their outdoor patios.

The causeway had good views but otherwise was super corny. The restaurants and stores were pretty tourist. Maybe we did this wrong? I feel like this would have been much better for families.

To my knowledge there's not general wi-fi available on the Causeway, but I'm sure you could always use the wifi of the restaurant - perhaps at most you may be asked to order something. Hope that helps! Enjoy Panama - it's a... More

They said it is in the final stages and in 6 - 8 months the cruise ships and aircraft carriers should be travelling through.
