A small park on one of the islands at the end of the Amador Causeway. Part of the Smithsonian institution research. Natural bush where we saw 3 sloths and a few Iguanas while walking around. Went into the frog display. Played with starfish. Saw turtles in there pool and a shark in his. Best place to go to see sloths... More

After checking their website we took a taxi out to the museum which sounded promising. When we arrived a guard told us that it was closed for a week. Apparently no one bothered to update the website which is really annoying especially since the location is not made for just passing by...

This small park is a good place to see sloths. We saw four. The frog exhibit was ok. There are good views of the sea. The park is old and tired. Children might find the displays interesting but over all they need to invest in a complete renovation of their exhibits.

this is a cool place to learn about the flora and fauna of Panama and the Isthmus. When we went there was a mama and baby sloth hanging in a tree close to the pathwalk. Goof frog exhibit with very good explanations of the staff.

I didn't like this place, it is tiny and there are only a few things to see. A couple of captive seastars and turtles, and the sloth that is living there. Is that worth 8 dollars?

We visited this Research Center (Smithsonian) thinking that it would be managed similarly as Smithsonian in DC. We were wrong. We paid $5 pp and we only could see some sea animals (turtles, a quiet pair of sharks, sea stars, sea worm). There were not guides to offer help or information, we had to look for someone. We were not... More

I was hoping to see an actual culebra as I walked the trail but was happy to see two sleeping sloths and two basking iguanas. As for the captive animals, the two nurse sharks were my favorites, followed by the three playful sea turtles and some exquisitely colored starfish.

It is sad to see that not many people are visiting it. It is easy to see that the Center needs some extra income for a good maintenance that can come from Government, Smitsonian or else.

I think they should take advantage of the potential of that place. We were expecting more from a place called "Marine Exhibition center". Go guys and improve and show all the marine life Panama have.
