The beach was super nice and there were lots of surfers. The sand is nice and soft and the water was cool. The place offers the most beautiful sunsets. This part of Nicaragua is rather remote and it was mainly dirt roads to get there,...More

All along the Emerald Coast there are amazing beaches and beautiful hotels, hostels and high-end resorts. There is truly something for everyone. The beaches are quiet and the water is warm. And watching the surfers is exciting

Almost empty and unspoiled. We walked it for hours just to meet 10 people along the way. Great waves for surfing lessons! A bit demanding in the afternoons

Great surf beach, the right side is great for surfing at low tide & the left end is better at high tide. Very quiet in the middle of the beach. Surf can be busy, especially at the right end.

The beaches of Popoyo are lovely. They are renowned for the excellent surfing. The beaches are very clean and have areas of white sand, black sand, and rocks. Often, we were the only people in sight. The waves are beautiful and strong. This is ideal...More

I enjoy Popoyo for many reasons. Number one being the Rancho above where you can get out of the heat and enjoy the views, good music, grab a bite to eat, something cold drink. It's one of the safest beaches I've ever been on worldwide....More
