This is out of the way of most other main attractions and probably not something to make a priority. The ticket lady was extremely rude. We noticed everyone had headsets or a phone to listen to audio. We didn't get any, but we asked and...More

Not much to see! Not worth a trip. Basically is 3 rooms, and no translations on the items themselves. You can get a guided headset.

We visited this museum the day after visiting Chernobyl, it is definitely worth a visit but don't follow the tourist signs to find it or you will walk round and round trying to find the place.

This centrally located museum is worth a quick visit -- the exhibition is relatively small and focused on the immediate aftermath of the disaster.

Very informative history of the Chernobyl disaster. Most is in Ukrainian and Russian but you can hire audio guides. Well worth a visit before you go to Chernobyl itself. It's near a metro station or a pleasant walk down into Podil.

To get the maximum benefit take the English guided tour. We had Luba (think that's how it's pronounced) who was a great communicator and pitched the tour perfectly.

Although only a small museum consisting of 4 large rooms/halls in a former fire station, they manage to convey the chilling story, causes and impact of that day on 26th April 1986, how the "blame" unfolded and how life changed for thousands of locals and...More

I do not know for sure; Visa cards are generally acceptable but I believe we paid in cash.
