I have been here several times.....winter, summer and fall. It truly is a special place with a feeling you can only experience by being there! Explore the caves, the shops, learn the history of this Monastery dating back to 1051. Try the honey made by the monks! Also check out the shops for the bees wax candles and the numerous... More

Very impressive monastery, magnificent architecture and decorations, outside as well as the inside. The caves are a historical gem - worthwhile taking a guided tour.

Took my teenagers here to see the mummified monks still perfectly preserved in the caves. These monks mummified naturally due to the environmental conditions in the caves and the place is considered holy by most of the local residents.

This is a must see!! If you like architecture this place is for you! Inside and out it's beautiful! You'll find original walls still preserved! Don't miss the bell tower. You have some stairs to climb but it's worth it! You'll get an amazing view from up there and it's breath taking!

The morning I arrived here, it had been overcast, but the clouds gave way to a beautiful sunny day. It was cool, but perfect weather. The golden domes are mesmerizing on a... More

Too cold for us to hang around but enjoyed a brisk walk around. Definitely worth a visit while in Kiev.

I think it is very unique place. I have never seen underground chuches. So for me it was surprise. Beautiful churches and view over Kiev.
