The Ballet Dancer is one of many wooden sculptures in Kiev from one Art project. The nicest thing is that all this sculptures are made from old trees that had to been saw off. And these sculptures are like the second life for old trees.

The Balerinа is very cute, very sad and very touching. Definitely needs to be cleaned and refreshed, though obvious abandonment and neglect make her even more touching and adds a kind of magic. Kind of magic that you can only find in fantastic stories of something spectral, ephemeral and hazy, especially in rain. Walk around this area, you surely find... More

Unassuming. If you blink you will miss it. Look for the large murals of children's faces. It's on that corner. A nice street art statue.

One of several folk art around the city, the ballerina is lovely. The first time we passed her by car but to see her in full view you must walk on the sidewalk. Enjoy!
