I recently bought a book from Amazon called "Flight to Freedom" by Asjas Obed. It is a story about Anatolij, a Ukrainian boy who grew up in Ukraine during WWII. It really gave me an overall view about Ukraine and it's history, and what would...More

beautiful building with interesting/tragic history. It's painted this sticking color to remember students who were brutally slain after a peaceful rebellion....not uncommon theme in Ukrainian history. Best appreciated view from the park across the street. Park is worth a lovely stroll through as well.

It's a university, nothing special in that regard. The main building is dark red, and impossible to miss. Parts of the interior are very nice looking.

This is just a building. Nothing special. But the color used on it and the way it contrasts with the blue sky is excellent. You just have to see it to appreciate it.

This building is nothing really special. I did think the color was interesting though. And it kind of permeated in the sunlight. It's OK to see if your in the area. But I wouldn't go downtown specifically just for this.
