Near the airport UKKK you have the aviation museum with different aircraft civil/military from CCCP times. Was several times in Kiev but the first time in this place. It's worth to visit it even if you are not the biggest aircraft fan. Children will love...More

Awesome museum for plane fans. It almost includes all soviet era planes.
I am a little surprised that they don' they don't have Su-27(Only one Su-27 is available in Ukraine in Kharkiv ), and An-12(This is quite common).

My preschool age god-daughter delighted with the visit. There're not only historical planes and helicopters. This open-air museum is located near the operating runway of the Kiev Zhuliany airport. So you can see how planes take off and land!

Sounds like a perfect plan. The museum is not very big though a good collection most of them are from the Soviet era. 90 minutes is not enough but yes it is possible to walk entire area and take some snaps. Most of the aircrafts cannot be entered except 4-5 major ones for which you need to take an additional ticket from the counter and if I remember correctly it's UAH10-15 per aircraft apart from the main entry ticket. I suggest visiting the museum if you 're gonna fly out of Boryspil. Have fun and enjoy your visit.

If you just jump in a taxi you will pay a ridiculous fare (for Kyiv standards) I always find it beneficial to have a coffee in one of the many cafes and ask them to call you a taxi. It is much cheaper so you won't get ripped off by unscrupulous drivers, they will tell you the cost of the journey, as well as the colour and make of car, etc. that will be collecting you. They don't usually charge for phone calls so I always tip well.
