The Museum complex as a whole covers a large number of sites, including a fine section of Soviet hardware from WW2 and later, which is certainly worth a visit: you pay little bits for entry, photography and sitting in things but it doesn't add up to large amount. The main museum is under the impressive Rodina Mat (Motherland) statue: whilst... More

If you like military hardware this is a GREAT museum. Lots of tanks and planes, one of the largest and most majestic statues I have ever seen The monumental sculpture of the "Motherland" ("Мати-Батьківщина" is also here.

This museum is a must see, Found it very interesting, part of it is outdoors, military machinery and aircraft and the other part is located under the statue.

I've never been to a museum that was on the same scale as this one. It's absolutely amazing. The displays and tribute paid to the memory of the fallen soldiers is like no other location in the world.

It's perfectly normal to shed a tear or a thousand here. This museum is gut-wrenchingly honest and doesn't even try to hide the truth. Well worth the visit

Although most of the information and notices are in Russian or Ukrainian, there is an English guide to the Great Patriotic War available for purchase. The Museum is a beautiful building and the exhibits are very atmospheric and moving.

I cannot judge the museum itself (entrance fees apply) as I stayed all the time outside and walked all around the full site. Still, there is so much to view and visit outside the museum that I can only recommend this full site. One of the most striking experience is certainly to listen to the loud communist propaganda on the... More

Its nice to be outdoor and enjoy the view of the left bank, some interesting sculptures from communism time and old airplanes and tanks. But that's it.

The museum closed on us 30 minutes early. (This probably explained why they charged us only half at the entrance, but…) A great many military artifacts, and there is an English key available. You can see a loaf of the "bread" given out during the siege of Leningrad. Note also the ironic Communist style to credit individual workers of every... More

Good collection of military equipment; land, air and sea. Plan to spend at least 1 hour to fully appreciate all that is on display. There is an opportunity to sit in a vintage MIG jet and attack helicopter and take pictures.
