This museum is arranged chronologically. The exhibits are well laid out in separate large rooms. Unfortunately the labels are not in English so the amount I could get from it was limited. In places, particularly when it deals with genocide and the treatment of Jews...More

Not that this is the main reason, but all of the plaques and quotes were in Russian. However this was worth the visit none the less =D A small fee for the visit, and display. The ex-Soviet had so much control over the Ukraine. Good...More

Open air museum in a pleasant environment. To have close look at the war equipment (cars, tanks and planes) you have to pay a small fee.

Perhaps one of the most stunning museums in Kyiv, it displays the story of WWII. Unlike many historical exhibits in Ukraine, I found that this showed a much more detailed narrative of the war. One downside however, was that there were no english plaques/descriptions when...More

Most of them outside - technique. Smaller War Museum is inside. We were there for about 2-3 hours.

Yes I agree you need 2 to 3 hours, mainly because much of it is outside and spread around and the hill top park it is in and the views it gives are a large part of the visit
