It is definitely worth a visit. A small steep street witnessed multiple changes through centuries. You will find a couple of museums and even a small theatre there, leave alone a plenty of cafes and restaurants. Some of the famous "The White Guards" film was also performed there. The street is full of souvenirs traders, which makes it a little... More

My favorite place in Kiev. Put on a pair of comfortable shoes and walk around. Cute authentic souvenirs and interesting people. Pay attention at your bags!

A great stroll from st. Sophia towards podol district. Be sure to start from the top as this is quite steep to climb. If you arrive from the bottom - take the funicular monorail to the top and start from there. Great for souvenir and small artisan shopping at from the many stand there. Try to plan your visit during... More

Another beautiful orthodox church worth a look in Kiev. Afterwards you can visit the nearby street full of art dealers and kitschy souvenirs

We have walked all the way from Andriyivski church all way down. Lots of nice shops and souvenirs. The buildings among the uzviz are old and clean and making a great atmosphere. If you are having a nice summer day use it for this path.

Andrey's descent - a street market with all sorts of artisan produce, souvenirs, silver and amber jewelry, cafes... It gets a bit crowded - watch out for pickpockets. If you get hungry or thirsty, consider get off the beaten track - prices are double of other places in town. Which also applies to souvenirs which are cheaper in the underground... More

First and foremost, you should visit Uzviz when it's warm. That's when the street is full of life. The architecture is breathtaking, Uzviz does rightfully wear the title of "Historical heart" of Kyiv. Take your time ascending the street, be mindful that it is quite steep. But the view from the top justifies your efforts.

This steep street is the best display of what Kiev looked through the ages. Many famous people lived in this street, lined with theatres, cafes and museums. Unfortunately, the spectacular St Andrew's Church was closed for restoration during our visit.

Now, not an active Ukrainian Orthodox Church, but rather a museum, it's located in the historical heart of Old Kyiv. We visited several times, included a classical concert here. Great views of Kyiv from the outside of the church. Don't miss it!
