This house museum is the former residence of Prince Miloš Obrenović I, the first ruler of the modern restored Serbian state. The building has been converted into a house museum with exhibits covering the history of the restored state. The exhibitions are arranged in logical and chronological order covering the background of the First Serbian Uprising, the Second Serbian Uprising, the formation of the Serbian Principality to the end of the Obrenovic dynasty. Exhibits are mostly paintings of the Obrenovic family and uprisings, personal items of the family and artefacts from the period being covered. As a history museum, I found the information to be quite densely written, but also tightly focused on the pre-modern period, making the information easy to digest. All in all, a very good museum of Serbian history.

Topcider was political and administrative heart of Serbia during the 19th century .
Inside this green Belgrade,s oases , known as Topcider park is ,Residence of Prince Milos, built between 1831_1834.At that time ,Konak housed the Palace of Serbian rulers.
In this very Konak Prince Milos abdicated in favour of his elder son Milan ,in 1939,who died after only few months on the throne ,and Prince Milos eventually died here in 1960.
His younger son was assassinated in 1868 not far from Konak.
You can admire furniture, personal belongings,Prince ,s dinning room
from that time.
In front of the Konak grows one of the oldest tree in Europe, over 130 years old and protected by low as natural rarity.
Near the Konak it was nice to visit St.Petar and St.Paul church built in. 1934 ,and it was private palace chapel of Prince Milos.
This pleasant environment attract many tourists.

Another hidden gem in Belgrade is the home of King Milos. It's not too difficult to find if you know the city and is surrounded by a nice park with great and gnarly old Plantain (Sycamore) trees. The inside contains artifacts of Prince Milos, one of the first rules of Serbia after it won its independence from the Ottoman occupation. It's typical of upper-crust Serbians from the 19th century and contains art and artifacts along with decor and history of the time frame in this two-story unassuming home.
