Although I was surprised by the very good quality of the paintings, the museum is not well aired and has a musty smell. After an hour all you want is to breath clean air

Situated in the former Romania palace still outside you can see the flowers and candles that they place after the collapse of dictatorship. Excellent paintings just too hot inside.

Only saw the outside as there had been a recent bereavement in the "Royal" family. Lots of flowers and candles everywhere. Aside from that, the facade looked amazing.

It has some paintings of very well known painters and a lot of romanian ones some known some less known but great paintings. The fact that is almost empty is a plus leaving you to see everything at your own pace. The price is more...More

This gallery has many different styles of art as well as a specifically Romanian exhibit. Give yourself plenty of time and wear comfortable shoes. The exhibit of portraits was my favorite! My husband, who is not really an art lover also enjoyed our visit here.

A much better gallery than the Contemporary. Like many Eastern-European art galleries, it was almost empty when I went. I highly recommend it.

I had half a day in Bucharest and was staying very close to this museum, I went there without much expectations and left pleasant surprised. In one building you will find European art and in another Romanian art, paintings and sculptures. The Romanian section has...More
