Ticket in the stalls 60 RON - best seat in the house ... No photography during performance. Attended opera company performance of Mozart's "Cosi Fan Tutti" ... excellent production - lead singers were fantastic - set was clever - costumes all good and the theatre orchestra brilliant ... five star night ...

we went to the opera and saw Nabucco, this production blew us away espcially as it was only £8.50 for two tickets, such a beautiful building. I would love to see another production here in the future.

A beautiful building and easy to get to on foot or by taxi from central hotels like the Athenee Palace Hilton. Our tickets were bought online a few weeks before we left home. Less than £10 including all fees for our 2 seats was unbelievable! Production was well executed and highly enjoyable. Interval drinks were available at acceptable prices but... More

Music and performance-wise, the National Opera of Bucharest is on par with the greatest names in the world, such as the Met or La Scala. However, there is a lot of room for improvement regarding the interior design or the scale and detail of the on-stage decorations in productions. A major budget boost from the authorities is in order. Also,... More

We have visited this glorious venue twice in as many days, for the performances of La Boheme and Don Giovanni. We bought tickets online about three weeks ago, at super affordable prices up in the gods, (balcony last row). However we still had an excellent view of the stage, and the acoustics were superb. Our only gripe, the seats whilst... More

For those interested in arts and music, Bucharest National Opera is a place not to be missed. From the quality perspective, the operas and ballets played here are of an excellent quality, comparable with most of the much more expensive top European Opera Houses. Secondly, the building of the Bucharest National Opera, though not very old, is really beautiful and... More

We saw a performance of Carmen here over the weekend, and it was incredible. The venue is so beautiful and grand, and people really get dressed up. The loge seating was a bit too warm and the show was quite long (4 acts with breaks in between each act) but it was an incredible experience. Worth visiting the building to... More

Visited here with our guide Alina and were very impressed (we wouldn't have known we could visit without her). The acoustics are amazing with impressive staircases and paintings.

This opera house is relatively modern, but built in opulent style of the classic european opera houses. Romanian musicians are great and if you are an opera fan you should absolutely watch a performance. We watched a great "La bohème" from great seats for about £6.

Was trying to get a good look at this Opera house ( as most around the world are magnificent) but there was a large barricade around it. The dome type roof looked good tho
