This is a lovely building, which is best visited during the warm seasons, as the fountain does not work in the early winter. Having said that, the area was already decorated for Christmas, which somehow compensated for the lack of flowing water.

They organise a lot of congresses, conferences in the many marble halls at ground and first floor. The restaurant is good, offers traditional Romanian food at good prices. It is recently renovated. They have also 2 exhibitions halls, one for paintings and one for books (Polemos Book Fair, for example). It is an historic building, situated close to city center.

Cercul Militar is one of the beautifull buildings of Bucarest. Right at the centre of town, it isa easy walk to go there.

CCA was originally set up and catered for the military personnel. However everybody who are willing to pay can visit this place and have some food there. The restaurant and dining area thereat was particularly famous for dancing and dinner but would be a bit expensive when compared with the living standard of ordinary citizens in the city. Worth to... This is a must see for sure in Bucharest. As former Navy officer I have spent many hours in various types of activities in this building and I was always impressed by all detailed shapes of architecture inside as well as outside. Just go there, there is a restaurant too and have a look. You will never forget this place.

Close to Victoriei street in the very center of the city is the Military Club. Interesting for me especially how large These Clubs were constructed. Nowadays it is Hosting also a Café.

Stop here to view the inside: impressive ball room and roomy rest rooms. They sure knew how to make a client feel confortable in the pre-vomunist days. But communism was here and left a big mark on the qualitz of service, and food. There is realy no reason to sit either inside our on the (impressive) terrasse unless you can zhink... More

This restaurant maybe does not rate best food, but the location is unbeatable. Music was playing and tangle dancers were out all evening. Lovely atmosphere, food was good, but not outstanding.

Next to the Old City, the CCA was the hall where the military had their events done in the past. They do them now but also the CCA is open to the public and acts like a restaurant with a nice terrace. You can rest on the terrace while having a drink or something to eat while on route to... More
