The Arc de Triumf is more than just a beautiful building, it has a very impressive historic point of view and it is more green than Paris (surrounding area). Taking pictures there would be highly recommended. Just ask your taxi or park your car around...More

A local guide tried to explain to me why they needed this and it seems it was just a period they wanted to copy everything from Paris. There is NO added benefit for the city nor is it any relevant for tourists. I walked by...More

Whether by taxi or bus, you will pass this arch on your way to or from the airport. Stay on the left side of your vehicle for the best view. If you miss it because you were dozing, well catch it’s twin in Paris next...More

The arch was built to commemorate the heroes of the First World War and also the War of Independence. When I first saw it I had to look twice, thinking I had been transported somehow to Paris. It is also very similar to London's Marble...More

In my opinion The Triumph Arch was amazing and impressive the area was not as busy as Paris. It's all walkable and don't forget your camera.

I don’t understand why people want to make copies of famous monuments of culture, not create new ones. The arch is beautiful, you have to see it, it’s a bit of unorganized movement around her. There’s is a small museum in there who unavailable for...More

Yes, yes, you heard right, the Arc de Triomphe. Not only will the name ring for you familiar but also the mirror. The Arc de Triomphe of Bucharest is very reminiscent of the Arc de Triomphe of Paris. It is not by chance that Bucharest...More

This is a very impressive feature in Bucharest. It was built to record Romania's independence in 1878. It acknowledges the important people in this period - Karol 1 and his wife. It also houses a museum of guns.

On our way to and from the airport we went past the Arcul de Triumf a couple of times. It's very near a beautiful park, Herastrau Park, with some very grand houses in the area. I understand this is the third arch on this particular...More

This is an impressive monument, although the view from a taxi while in traffic is sufficient. There is no need to go out of your way to visit this site.

This monument is located at a busy intersection. The scale is huge. Built after Romania gained its independence (1878) so that the victorious troops could march under it. The arch exterior, which had seriously decayed, was replaced in 1935 by the current much more sober...More

A place to visit when in Bucharest - not anywhere near as impressive as the one in Paris. Not a lot more to say about it.
