Lipscani is one of the main thoroughfares through Bucharest's Old Town district. As you'd expect, it's full of places to eat and drink, mixed in with shops, and the occasional church or civic building. The streets are mostly cobbled. It's a bit touristy, but very nice all the same.

Lipscani is without a doubt where it is happening in old town Bucharest. Plenty of bars, cafes, restaurants nestled along the sidewalks in the old town. We walked through the area a number of times in our few days in Bucharest and different times of day presented very different results. Walking this way anytime after 11:30 meant a lot of restaurant reps trying to get you through the door for food and drinks, whereas anytime before that and it is a lot of deliveries to said restaurants but generally no one making a b-line for you.

Restaurants and their reps aside, the area is very interesting nestled with little sights along the streets to stop and gaze at. The architecture is stunning and something to be admired.

Definitely the place you want if you are looking for food and a drink in the afternoon / evening.

From an apartment right on the edge of the area, we criss-crossed this mostly cobbled old town many times, getting lost now and then, but not really caring. There are some great old buildings, loads of restaurants and bars, very busy into the early hours.

Plenty of cool bars and terraces in the old town to choose from.
Check out Carturesti bookstore it's very beautiful.
Sad to see the state of some of the old buildings that are left in dismay.

the old town is very nice. though not very well preserved, the atmosphere is worth the visit. Food is good everywhere, and bars are always full of people

Lots of food and sports bar options but cannot make an informed choice due to restaurant hawkers. They would be better placed not begging people to come in as it simply puts you off. After dark be wary of the promoters trying to get you into dodgy bars and also groups of locals that may or may not commit crime against tourists.

Stayed in the old town just round the corner from Hilton garden which is a great area to stay. Used the Bolt app to get around Bucharest which was easy to do. Had a evening at Hard rock cafe with a band on, Next day did the 12hr trip to Peles castle,Brasov and Bran castle. Great day out. Our last day did a tour round Parliment building. Totally blown away by this building, Do not miss this on your trip. Used Euro limo for airport transfers who were great. This city is a real value for money great experience.

Located in the old town part of Bucharest, one of the main streets to visit that has the most action.

I think Lipscani is much better at night to visit as the atmosphere is much better with the buildings lit up, also people are more relaxed just looking for Restaurant/bars and enjoying the moment.
