Interesting visit especially to have a possibility to understand the evolution of the life in the country. The Museum was opened in a beautiful bulding, near a beautiful park in the residential area of Bucharest. Visit to be included in a day dedicated to a long wald in the area.

Sad to say that we were so convinced by the travel guides that we didn't check ahead or look at TripAdvisor. Our mistake! Really disappointed as it sounded fab. We did manage a nose around the shop. They carry a lot of stock in the space so it takes a while to look through if you have the patience. I... More

one of the biggest museums in romania and they decide to repair all together in the middle of the season and with no note; you just find it out when you are in front of the building. sad. sad. sad. Fortunately Bucarest is full of other places to see.

We went to the Peasant Museum only to find it had closed in June 2016 for at least two years for renovation. Unfortunately their website is still active and local guides still recommend it. Fortunately the superb Museum of Natural History is close by.

Shady place, recommended visit in summer. It's a collection of traditional constructions from different Romanian regions. Houses, barns, mills, churches most of which you can have a look at from the outside. Some you can visit and you will see traditionals tools, furniture, tissues, from the region the house originates.

I went to the Peasant Museum only to find that the museum has been closed for a couple of weeks. But I was not disappointed. The outdoor market place with Romania Artisans was full of sellers and buyers. There is much to look at and plenty to buy from clothing to antiques, cakes, jams, carvings, grilled meats, traditional Easter eggs... More
