Currently closed for renovations. We did eat in the restaurant though. Food was fine - we ordered curry which basically tasted like chip shop curry sauce. (Obviously not their speciality). Other meals coming out looked nice though.

When I visit this place some construction work was going on. So, part of museum was open but part was close. However, there is a nice shop inside where people can buy hand made cloth etc

It is close to Victoria square. They have a lot of extra activities, cinema, concerts, book launches, traditional food fairs. The very beautiful building donated especially for the museum includes a restaurant, shop, bookshop, library and a small wooden church from Maramures in the back...More

This museum is probably most appreciated by natives because they would better understand it. However is very well organized, has great historic houses, and lots of charm and character.

Tennis courts, swimming pools and farmer's market in the area as well. The majestic Triumph Arch is nearby.

In mid October 2016 a group of us walked up to the museum after our hotel concierge gave us directions only to find the place covered in scaffolding and workers telling us that it's closed inside as well so check before going.

A great museum in central-north Bucharest, with lots of interesting events and exhibits which are not necessarily related to peasant life - the place has become the most important cultural center in Bucharest.
